We are currently looking for a Mission Planning Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Mission Planning Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organization providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Mission planning operations, primarily involving the management and use of the Payload Data Ground Segment Mission Planning Facility PDGS MPF and the Flight Operations Segment Mission Planning System FOS MPS, within a SCOS2000 based mission control system Performing preventative maintenance on the MPF or MPS Responding to mission planning related anomalies and operational contingencies promptly Maintenance of mission planning documentation Liaising with external entities to fulfil joint operations requirements Maintaining an understanding of the SCOS2000 MCS Working Operational Database. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant field Many years of experience in low earth orbit LEO spacecraft and ground segment system operations Many years of experience in general programmingsoftware development Many years of experience working with relational databases and SQL Fluency in English is mandatory. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from April 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.
