Summary An experienced Modelling Simulation Engineer to work onsite at ESTEC within the System Modelling and Functional Verification section. Objective To provide support to the section activities in the areas of system performance evaluation and system and architecture modelling. Responsibilities Duties Activities will be in the area of Endtoend performance simulators for space missions, in terms of the related simulator development software, processor development for data products and formalisation of corresponding simulator architectures in the areas of Earth Observation and Space Science System modelling in support of formalising the system description subject to evaluation. Support to the requirements engineering and the subsequent verification and validation activities at system and software level Qualifications Experience The candidate shall have practical experience of performance simulators and system modelling. MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent Experience of simulator development, functional and performance Background in data processor development Knowledge of system modelling with formal methods e.g. SysML Experience in system requirements and verification engineering Good knowledge of related methods and tools Essential Skills An ability to work independently and to establish good working relations is essential.
