RHEA Group is currently recruiting a NearEarth Object NEO Segment Test and Validation Engineer to provide engineering support at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include You will be providing input to the procurement process of TV work and attend related meetings on request by the NEO Segment C0managers You will be contributing to the management of work plan and other NEOrelated industrial activities You will be supporting the organization, preparation, and closeout of reviews You will be identifying, documenting and processing software change requests SCRs related to delivered and existing software You will be supporting the installation, validation and management of SCRs You will be supporting participating in the acceptance process, clearing final deliveries and installation of software in collaboration with ICT You will be interfacing with the SSA IT group where this intersects the deployment and operation of NEOrelated IT infrastructure and software and represent the NEO segment in coordination meetings You will be providing support to the NEO Segment CoManagers for the development and definition of plans You will be managing the administration of the SharePoint for NEO and the SDE tools You will be supporting outreach activities in the NEO area You will be supporting the technical management of activities listed in the work plan, as well as under different cofunding schemes You will be coordinating technical work with activities in other ESA units, in particular with the General Studies Programme and other SSA Segments You will be contributing to the work plan activities for defining and implementing the NEO software concept, especially in integration, test and validation You will be supporting the procurement process with analyses and technical evaluations, as requested by the segment comanagers You will be supporting the organization and setup of boards You will be managing software problem reports, configuration change requests and their resolution You will be consolidating and keep track of the software requirement baselines and its verification record You will be assisting in the definition and development of tools to support the NEO system analysis and data visualization Setup and operate the tools on request and document the results You will be providing input on needed future updates You will be supporting the NEO Segment CoManagers in the definition and review of outputs from studies You will be contributing to the related internal and external coordination meetings You will be representing the NEO segment in the CCSDS MOIMS You will be reviewing the output of the CCSDS MOIMS and provide input where necessary You will be developing support to the biannual CCSDS meetings You will be supporting the CENCENELEC work You will be coordinating data format developments relevant for NEO within ESA Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a degree or equivalent in Physics, Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a similar applicable field. You have at least 3 years of experience in at least three of the following areas NEO science, asteroid space missions, observation techniques, and space systems engineering. You shall have a good knowledge of system operations automated and manual. In order to ensure a suitable supervision and involvement in ongoing and future test and validation activities and contracts, you have good knowledge of the ESAtailored ECSS methods for software development, testing and acceptance, as well as agile development. You have a demonstrated experience in the development and application of internationally recognized standards related to NEO applications, e.g. the Data Exchange Standard, the Scheduling and Commanding Standard, and the data flow in the NEO field. You have a demonstrated knowledge in algorithm and software development, testing, validation, and operations. You have demonstrated experience in working in geographically distributed multinational project teams. You have experience in work package and project management tools and methods, ideally in the ESA and SSA context. How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
