Tasks Your Tasks In particular, you will perform the following tasks Factory testing of network equipment Site deployment of network components Analysis of network performance and availability problems Maintenance of core network components switches, firewalls and VPN devices Close interaction with the client Travelling to remote sites for limited periods of time Mandatory skills Experience deploying and troubleshooting servernetwork hardware Familiarity with networking and security infrastructure devices, applications e.g. routers, switches, firewalls,IDS, VPN and their configuration Familiarity with TCPIP networking and routing protocols plus their debugging Familiarity with IPSec, GRE IP over IP encapsulation Familiarity with Linux Red Hat, Suse and Windows 7, 2012R2 Good analytical and problem solving skills, quick learner Mobility Desirable skills Knowledge of scripting languages e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby, shell scripting Knowledge of Windows Domains, Active Directory, Databases Oracle, SIEM ArcSight Not needed for theGCS Network Knowledge of network performance testing and optimization Knowledge of Satellite control systems or Galileo Security experiencebackground
