Prices are now falling in the nylon chain, due to lower material costs and a weakness in demand from downward processors at the same time. Margins of nylon 6 filament producers could however improve to the detriment of chip makers. Our monthly report covers the latest and long-term trends of nylon 6 (polyamide 6) prices, also displaying a vertical view of the nylon chain prices, including benzene, caprolactam, staple fibers and filament yarns. The nylon/CPL spread is also calculated for assessing gross margin trends of filament producers. Daily prices of the past 12 months are available for download.
