This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Job Description We are looking for a Data Handling Systems Development Engineer to support our client ESTEC. You will join a team that supports the Galileo 2nd Generation satellite Project G2A satellite. Your tasks will include, but not be limited to participating in feasibility studies, project reviews and the evaluation of procurement proposals within the DHS perimeter identifying critical DHS development problems and assisting in their resolution monitoring the industrial work associated with design, development, validation, qualification and acceptance of the onboard Computer and DataHandling systems and associated equipment ensuring that these meet the satellite and security requirements monitoring the industrial activities related to the definition and execution of the satellite verification programme, including implementation and monitoring of AITAIV activities on Data Handling subsystems and equipment elaborating in the area of expertise the dispositions related to anomalyhandling, NRBs, NCR process, RFDW, etc. participating in project reviews and lowerlevel reviews in DHS preparing the inputs in the area of expertise for the Satellite Verification Control Board and Space Segment Control Boards processes Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 10 years relevant experience professional experience in the fields of space hardware related to platform and payload data handling equipment units, modules and boards Masters degree in networks, electronics, telecommunications or a related field is required Knowledge in the field of Data Handling Electrical Ground Support Equipment EGSE and in the field of multicore onboard computer architectures will be considered as assets Work Location Noordwijk, The Netherlands Dates Application Deadline 25 June 2021 Start of Work 01 August 2021 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page How to Apply on the Solenix website under Career.
