We are looking for an Operation Maintenance of RF Payloads Systems and Antenna Measurement Technician E2 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Coordinate Calibration and Maintenance of all RF equipment in the Lab. Coordinate transport of all incoming and outgoing equipment in the Lab. Management and recording of all new assets and annual inventory of lab assets. Monitoring and control of lent out equipment to industry. Support Galileo test Systems integration in the lab. Coordinate annual preventive maintenance of the entire lab including the clean room. Operation of GNSS Payload using its associated EGSE and performing EndtoEnd Characterisation tests over temperature andor under vacuum. General tasks to be performed MICMMIC prototype circuit layout design and integration using dedicated equipment such as wire and ribbon bonding machines, eutectic die bonding and testing using on wafer probing station. Assist with the integration, configuration and running of test equipment andor test setups employed in evaluating the performance of RF subsystems or instruments for space application such as PIM performance, multipactor performance and high power evaluation. Navigation payloads and associated equipment. Remote sensing space born radar Calibration transponders. TTC and Communication test beds. Life limited RF payload equipment. Atomic Clocks and Time and Frequency Test beds. Nonlinear characterisation of subsystemsdevices. General laboratory support such as, scheduled maintenance, replacement of consumables, and design of mechanical housings, thermal plates and test jigs for RF circuits. Development of control software using VEE for automated testing. Development of software tools for control and monitoring of performance parameters of RF test beds Organisation and maintenance of laboratory library, which includes documentation operating manuals, test reports and general documentation. Good working knowledge of Thermal Vacuum chamberssystems is required. Operation, maintenance and calibration of the laboratory equipment and test facilities. Maintain up to date divisional TECET equipment inventory list, which involves useoperation of dedicated software for traceability and control of inventory including lent out equipment. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Bachelor degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in RF, microwave and millimetre wave technologies and be experienced in testing integration and assembly of MICMMIC circuits and flight hardware. Experience in maintenance and calibration of general RF laboratory test equipment and instrumentation is highly desirable. Good experience with various industrystandard CAD tools, and generic software tools for payload systems monitoring and control. Good knowledge of LabView and some knowledge of Linux operating system are a distinct advantage. About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries.
