Europes Meteorological Satellite Organisation is now recruiting for an Operations Security Officer to support all aspects of the operational systems as well as providing support to the development of security standards for future programmes. The key candidate shall take the lead in defining a new security policy, bringing innovative ideas and concepts to the organisation, as well as ensuring the security of operational programmes. Applicants require skillsexperience in each of the following areas ISOIEC 27001 27002 Network security solutions and architectures Implementation and management of an Information Security Management System ISMS, including security software and tools Performing security management in 247 highavailability operations environments Definition of securityrelated requirements Conduct of security audits on operational systems Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills along with a methodical and organised approach to work with an aptitude for detail and accuracy. Resilient selfstarter, with an ability to manage workload autonomously Experience in the following is not mandatory but would be considered advantageous Highavailability satellite ground segments Project and technical management coordination All applicants must have a good working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, French would be considered advantageous. Applicants must be EUMETSAT member state nationals. This is a high profile role within the Organisation. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to represent EUMETSAT and be the focal point for operational Information Security Management.
