SUMMARY OF 1100 AM AST...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- LOCATION...42.5N 57.8W ABOUT 370 MI...595 KM SW OF CAPE RACE NEWFOUNDLAND MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...35 MPH...55 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...NE OR 45 DEGREES AT 16 MPH...26 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1007 MB...29.74 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Dolly was located near latitude 42.5 North, longitude 57.8 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northeast near 16 mph (26 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue through tonight. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is expected, and Post-Tropical Cyclone Dolly is expected to dissipate by Thursday morning. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
