On of our clients in the UK is searching for a very experienced Product Assurance Manager to start as soon as possible. ROLE Responsible for all space PA activities within the organisation, the Space PA Manager will ensure that all of clients current projects are delivered to customer requirements and will manage the PA activities for other upcoming nonESA space projects. This role reaches beyond the usual remit of a project PA Manager, with the successful candidate being fully responsible for the implementation of all space PA activities within the business, and the integration of PA with all of clients space management and space engineering. KEY TASKS Develop and maintain a space product assurance programme to meet project requirements and best practice Maintain PA plans throughout the project lifecycle Provide ownership and technical authority for all PA requirements and deliverables Manage project nonconformances, reviews and NCTS system Contribute to design reviews, procurement activities, manufacturing documents, test readiness and product delivery reviews Authorise project documents, quality history records, certificates of conformance and end item data packs Coordinate internal readiness reviews MRR,ARR,TRR and KIPS Verify incoming inspection documentation, build records, NRS closeout, MIPs, KIPS, manufacturing washups, workmanship, cleanliness and fit for purpose Internal reporting e.g. as part of project review cycle Reporting to and coordinating with customers such as AIRBUS and ESA TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL SKILLS All aspects of space product assurance related to hardware design, verification and test Materials science, engineering or relevant discipline High degree of IT literacy and proficiency in MSOffice applications Deep understanding and experienced of ECSS standards and their practical application QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Must have a strong track record of space PA management on full ESA contracts Must have experience of full product lifecycle from KO to closeout Must be qualified in material science, engineering or physics, preferably to degree level Knowledge of any of JAXA, ISRO, NASANOAA and CASC PA practices an advantage Membership of relevant professional body is desirable PERSONALITY BEHAVIOURS Must have good interpersonal skills and a positive, supportive attitude Must be able to combine attention to detail with a strong focus on delivering to deadlines Enjoys working with autonomy and responsibility Excellent allround communicator Flexible, adaptable and able to work on multiple projects within small teams GENERAL INFORMATION This is a full time permanent role with generous annual leave and full membership of the company profitshare scheme. However, there is a chance to stast as a contractor for a short period of time.
