Spaceopal is the prime service operations contractor for the European Galileo Satellite Navigation System and manages all Galileo Service Operations. The awarded European Commission EC contract to Spaceopal is more than just its satellites in space. Galileo Service Operations will provide highquality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civilcontrolled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage. Main tasks and responsibilities The Project Controller, with focus on Sales and Project Financial Data, is responsible for preparing all financial data for offers as well for the maintenance and control of project costs and related data. The Project Controller shall ensure availability and consistency of the required data. In particular the tasks include Preparation of financial data for offers and contract changes calculation of costpriceriskmargin, development of Milestone Payment Plans, input for cashflow forecast, preparation of customer price sheets, etc. Check and clarification of the financial calculations of Subcontractor offers Maintenance and control of project cost and Milestone Payment Plans Monitoring schedule changes having impact on payments, report and support management of related consequences Preparation and check Payment Milestone Achievement Certificates Setup and maintaining all project financial data in the ERP system Provision of regular reports of all project financial data including sales planforecast etc. Supporting the preparation of Customer Project Progress reports Supporting the companys budget preparation and the relative periodic reviews and reporting Calculation of PenaltiesLiquidated Damages on the basis of KPI result Maintenance of PenaltiesLiquidated Damages log filesdata base All tasks require close liaison and cooperation with the Engineering team, the Finance and Accounting team, customers and subcontractors to clarify aspects in relation to offers, and project financial data. Required qualification and experience University degree in a relevant field Economics, Business Administration BWL, Controlling, appropriate high school degree or relevant work experience At least three years of professional experience in project controlling with a focus on Sales Knowledge and experience in industrial project controlling in a technology project Capacity to most effectively use office systems Experience in similar activities, better if acquired in Space or Defence programs, or in highly other highly complex technology projects Indepth knowledge and experience of methodologies of cost calculation and reporting Strong interest in Sales The job requires also Assertiveness and confidence working in an international team environment Outstanding communication and team skills Independent working style along with analytical thinking Handson mentality and systematic, selforganized, able to prioritize way of working Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of GermanItalian is appreciated Fluency in standard office automation tools MS Office particularly Excel and Access, Email, Internet etc. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage Work location Spaceopal headquarter Munich, Germany It could be necessary to participate to meetings in in relevant project locations in Europe.
