Solenix is specialized in the provision of highquality software engineering, technical consulting and operations services in the aerospace domain. This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Project Planning Engineer 1713090 Job Description We are looking for a Project Planning Engineer for our client, EUMETSAT. You will join the EPSSG Ground Segment Team and support in the planning and scheduling aspects. Your tasks will typically include but not necessarily be limited to the following Maintain a detailed development logic and schedule of the EPSSG Ground Segment Including all the subsystems and services, consistently with overall programme constraints, and in coordination with the relevant EUMETSAT teams, contractors and partners. Ensuring that the corresponding development logic and schedule remains at all times consistent with programme constraints. Performing a critical path analysis of each version of the schedule. Followup subsystems developments and participate in necessary meetings and reviews. Track progress against agreed development plans and Interaction Documents and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with the elaboration of proposals to reduce the impact of any delays. Identify interactions between subsystems and partnerscontractors and associate them with main development milestones and work breakdown structure. Prepare and maintain Interactions Documents, defining interactions between subsystems, together with their need dates. Interactions will cover such areas as Deliverables hardware, software, databases, documentation, algorithms, test data sets, tools, configuration statuses. Support mutual review support, joint test and operational rehearsals preparation and execution, test data analyses. Access to services, sites, facilities, infrastructure and interfaces. These activities will involve daytoday interactions with EUMETSAT teams, and interactions with external stakeholders. Travel within Europe may have to be undertaken. Required Skills and Experience A University degree. At least 3 years experience performing project planning activities preferably on large and complex development projects in the aerospace or similar domain. Demonstrated ability to define system development logic, lifecycle and schedules and successfully implement them. Demonstrated ability to understand the technical aspects of system components and their development constraints. Proficiency with MSProject. You shall be able to analyse complex situations and development schedules, identify critical areas and produce accurate and concise analyses, recommendations and synthesis. Desirable Skills and Experience Certification in project management or in project management disciplines. Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and processes. Experience of Earth Observation systems andor Ground Segment development. System Development Maintenance.
