For one of our space customers we are currently recruiting a Proposal Manager. Our client is one of the worlds top suppliers of optical instruments for space applications. For their office in Eastern Germany, were looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to expand their project management team. This position is a multidisciplinary interface function where you supervise and manage internal and external contacts as well as being responsible for technical, economic, organizational and communication tasks. Tasks and Responsibilities Guidance of teams during the tender preparation Support in creating proposals for institutional and commercial customers Strategic and operational maintenance of longterm customer relationships at all levels of the hierarchy Visit of industryrelated trade shows and conferences, including inhouse lectures Contract negotiations with customers and key project partners Continuous market observation and determination of strategic objectives in collaboration with the sales and product range lines Support the project management with respect to commercial matters. Experience and Education Trained as an engineer, industrial engineer, or scientist At least 5 years of experience in bidproposal management, product management and technical sales, preferably in the space field Professional communication skills Process oriented with a structured way of working Very good comprehension, analytical skills and confidence in dealing with numbers Interdisciplinary interest in technical and business aspects Fluent in English, spoken and written, other languages are an advantage Empathy, especially in dealing with other cultures.
