One of our space clients in Germany is looking for a Quality Assurance engineer to work on their projects. The Low Earth Orbit Quality Assurance consultant will be integrated into the Quality Assurance Team which provides support to the Low earth Orbit Division. Our clients Quality Assurance Engineers are deployed as integrated support to the various programmes. Key Tasks Implement client QA policies in the assigned areas, in accordance with the Programme specific QA plan for all phases covered by this statement of work and the relevant contract. Update the Programme specific quality assurance plan as necessary. Followup the satellite procurement activities performed by ESA Provide Quality Assurance support during the storage phases of the satellites. Follow up any repair activity necessary on instruments embarked on MetopC satellite Support, monitor and witness Satellite AIT activities regarding instruments. Manage and support the Anomalies Review Board ARB and Material Review Board MRB. Provide Quality Assurance support during the launch preparation activities. Participate in the launch campaign, if requested. The launch will take place in Centre Spatial Guyanais in Kourou, French Guyana. Support the definition of the Quality Assurance procedures for the preparation of Phase CD of the programmes. Provide Quality Assurance support for the implementation of processes focussed in the area of the Ground Segment Support the regular monitoring of established metrics on the main processes within Ground Segments Required Skills Sound handson experience in Quality Assurance processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control. Sound handson experience in risks management and lessons learned processes. Sound experience in a rational application of quality international standards. Sound handson experience in managing, reporting and following of procured items. Knowledge of project management and project planning, including the ability to identify and report on critical paths. Some knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS. Ability to draft management reports and executive summaries in English. Sound handson experience of working on collaborative programmes between different partners. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access. Good interpersonal skills, including mediation skills. Good attitude to team working. Additional Provide Quality Assurance support to the GS development activities. Preparation and support to the project reviews process. Support the Quality Assurance requirements internal review process. Provide Quality Assurance support for the implementation of Configuration Management processes. Report directly to the LEO Quality Assurance Manager for all Programme specific QA aspects and brief the LEO QA Manager on the main issues identified in the Programme specific meetings.
