Ajilon Technology Aerospace is looking for aRF Payloads Plus Microwave Mmwaves Technology Equipment Engineer E3 for an opportunity at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands Ajilon Technology Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Ajilon is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 100 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. General tasks to be performed The candidate will be assigned to the Payload Engineering Section TECETP in the RF Systems, Payload and Technology Division at ESTEC. Heshe will be participating in internal RD activities and support to projects in the domain of navigation payloads Galileo, EGNOS, GNSS evolutions andor Earth Observation instruments. Heshe will also be involved with internal research work on advanced payload and instruments concepts and on computer simulation at system andsubsystem level of the related performance. For navigation payloads of particular relevance will be the assessment of the impacts of payload distortions in the quality of the Signal In Space. Specific tasks to be performed Heshe should have experience in the domain of navigation payload andor remote sensing instruments including architecture tradeoffs. The knowledge of stateoftheart RF analogue and highspeeddigital processing techniques and technologies, computer simulation techniques and on board equipment definition and specification will be an asset. As per Job Class in microwaveRFelectromagnetic related studies. Extensive and proven experience in the domain of telecom , navigation or RF Remote Sensing satellite payload and instruments, covering both RD and flight hardware procurement activities. Knowledge is required on the fields of modern computer systems, programming languages, computer simulation tools and signal processing. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required A university Masters degree on telecommicrowaveRFElectromagnetics related studies and a good knowledge of software tools Matlab, Simulink, ADS, C, C, is required. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries. The European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC is the largest site and the technical heart of ESA. This nursery of European space activities is located in Noordwijk, Netherlands. At ESTEC, about 2500 engineers, technicians and scientists work handson with mission design, spacecraft and space technology. Almost all ESA projects except launchers are managed from ESTEC. In Noordwijk, people work on science missions, manned space missions, Earth observation, telecommunications and navigation satellites. ESTEC provides extensive testing facilities to verify the proper operation of pacecraft, such as the Large Space Simulator LSS, acoustic and electromagnetic testing bays, multiaxis vibration tables and the ESA Propulsion Laboratory EPL.
