Researchers at Brown awarded $4.7M for mindfulness study

The five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health will cover two phases of research that will show whether mindfulness interventions were successful and their overall impact on patients' adherence to medical regimens. Principal investigator Eric Loucks, assistant professor of epidemiology in the Brown School of Public Health, says the goal is to have a greater influence on health outcomes.
