Job description In the frame of the ESAEUMETSAT MetOpSG program, Terma AS is pleased to invite you to submit your application as Satellite Data Base Engineer and support engineer to operations preparation activities. Activities Management of the MetOpSG satellite database process in accordance with the applicable standards and the MetOpSG project requirements. Management of the data base update and verification process taking into account inputs from the main database users satellite prime, instrument suppliers. Interface with the database users definition of users needs, versioning, data format, delivery contents. Population of the satellite database, in accordance with the users needs and configuration management, consolidation of the satellite database contents. Ensure the consistency between the flight operation manual and the SRDB data. Database deployment versioning and configuration against users needs and maturity of data. Database verification correctness of the database contents, consistency checks, review of data, correlation with results from the database validation. Delivery of database versions to the users according to schedule requirements, including documentation and interfaces with users. Postdelivery support to users during CSW validation and AIT phases. Database NonConformance and Change Request management. Database validation in accordance with the verification plan definition of validation requirements and needs, followup of validation, consolidation of validation results. Participation in database technical meetings and users meetings The work will be coordinated with the customer Functional Validation Database Manager. In addition, it may be required to contribute to operations preparations activities such as development and maintenance of Flight Operations Procedures and FDIR procedures. Start date of the assignment is ASAP. Qualifications Competencies We are searching for an experienced Support Engineer with Assembly Integration and Test AIT and or industrial experience as operator in functional validation with a minimum 3 years experience in the space industry. Applicants shall have preferably a University degree in the domain of Telecommunications, Electronics, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering or other suitable equivalent qualification. Mandatory skills Programming skills, ideally knowledge in Java language, ORACLE. Knowledge of typical spacecraft verification approaches and of the spacecraft subsystems under test. Good knowledge of database tools. Knowledge of satellite AIT activities. CCSDS Packet TMTC standards. Familiar with the following would be a considerable asset ECSS PUS Services Data Base tools such as the Airbus RangeDB product SCOS 2000 and the TMTC MIB format The Terma CCS5 system Knowledge of Microsoft tools Word, Excel, . Languages English fluent. French would be much appreciated. The task may involve a number of travels within Europe. Candidates have to undergo a basic security screening during the application process e.g. formal statement of good conduct, issued by an official government entity reference persons and security clearance to enter customer premises. Permanent contract CDI based on French labour law conditions.
