As part of the systems engineering group, the satellite payload systems engineer will work in a multidisciplinary team defining the architecture and the performance of payloads for communication satellites. The work includes proposal effort, initial design and architecture tradeoffs, detailed analysis as well as integration and test of the full up payload. Role definition Perform payload budgeting, link analysis, design review preparation, advance system studies Define specification of RF hardware Repeater and active passive units, antennas Technical monitoring of major subcontractors Receivers, LTWTAs, Multiplexers Define DC RF harness design Provide support to mechanical layout Evaluate system RF test data Produce required technical documentation reports Produce verification matrix, AIT plans, test requirements Support inorbit test activities General requirements B.Sc in electrical or telecommunication engineering and 35 years minimum experience in Communications Satellite Payloads in the satellite industry RF design background Analogue Communications System design skills including simulations Knowledge of digitals systems
