Relocation assistance provided if applicable. Main responsibilities For our activities in ESA Headquarters Paris, we are currently looking for a Scientific Communication Officer. The key persons activity will cover the following Coordination of the ECSITE Space Group under the authority of ESA Head of Exhibitions and Corporate Events Office Follow up contacts, with museums and science centres, for the updating by ECSITE of the existing database of the Space Group that will be present at the ECSITE Annual conference, that takes place yearly in June the ECSITE Annual meeting that takes place yearly in October November Followup and coordination of the regular tasks teleconferences, email exchanges amongst the cochairs of the ECSITE Space Group, ie. ESA, Cit de lEspace and Ciencia Viva Support for the organisation of the ECSITE Space Group Annual Conference and Annual meeting in coordination with ESA, ECSITE, the Chairs of the Space group and the local organiser representative preparatory meetings and teleconferences proposal of agenda Interface with the keynote speakers representatives of national delegations and national space industries and Academia. Content provider for ESA for ECSITE Space Group Newsletters to be distributed to the ECSITE Space Group more than 100 members ECSITEs website Space Group, articles to be published by ECSITE Before and after the ECSITE annual Conference Before and after the ECSITE annual meeting. Support the creation of new collaborative projects Followup of the evolution of new collaborative projects discussed during the preconference workshops and during the ECSITE Annual Conferences Preparation of ESA content around the themes selected during the ECSITE Annual Meetings of the Space Group Coordination with ECSITE for the distribution of the content through the Space Group Network, and for the implementation and promotion of the new collaborative projects on ECSITEs website. Followup of the existing Space Group collaborative projects e.g. Hookup with Rosetta Followup of the evolution of the existing collaborative project, Hookup with Rosetta Coordination with ECSITE for the distribution of the Hookup with Rosetta content through the Space Group Network, and for the implementation and promotion of the Rosetta project on ECSITEs website. ESA ECSITE communication tools Analysis of ECSITE communication tools in order to promote ESA programmatic and communication activities ESA corporate content provider for the ECSITE spokes magazine the Enews, the ECSITE newsletter published monthly by ECSITE the ECSITE Annual report, that are distributed to the entire ECSITE network about 400 members. Content provider for ESA Exhibitions and the ESA Exhibitions website Under the authority of the Exhibitions Officer in charge of content for ESA corporate Exhibitions, and in coordination with the ESA Exhibitions and Events Office and the ESA web team the key person shall ensure production, update and promotion of printed material interactive material audiovisuals Coordination with the exhibition web site manager for the publication of the mentioned content on the ESA exhibition website Updating the content of existing exhibition material Updating the content of the web minigalleries of images or photos. Ideal candidate The candidate should bring a Science PhD or Masters Degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent minimum of 4 years of relevant experience handson experience with tasks as the ones listed below.
