Senior Engineer, Ground Systems MF Ref SES0471 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Ground Terrestrial Operations Position Staff Context The Senior Engineer, Gound Systems implements and provides operations support for ground based systemsprocesses utilised to enable SES spacecraft deploymentoperations as well as service delivery to SES customers. Responsibilities The Senior Engineer, Ground Systems shall be responsible for Analysis, design, specification, implementation and enhancement of TTC andor Teleport Communications Systems Ground Control and any other Monitoring Systems that SES needs to fulfil their mission on a global basis. This includes the successful deployment of e.g. TTC and Baseband systems, ranging and inorbit test systems Fix and mobile teleport infrastructure for payload signal uplinks DataIFRF measurement systems like CSM or similar Infrastructure required for such systems. The incumbent must efficiently own and implement full project life cycles from requirements collectiondefinition in and outside the company and budgeting, via projectprogram management incl. procurement or designdevelopment, to the operational 2nd3rd level support As a trusted representative of the company the incumbent shall deliver clear, concise, timely and constructive strategic or technical guidance cooperative support to peerscustomers in and outside the company. Experience Qualifications A recognised ElectricalTelecommunications Engineering degree BSMS or similar with good knowledge of RF and telecom theory, Minimum of 5 years relevant handson engineering experience and worked successfully as Development or Systems Engineer and as Project Manager, Proven experience in tools like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCad, Lotus Notes or similar, Some knowledge of power, cooling, structural engineering or of terrestrial networking elements IP, or of programming Mathlab, C, is considered as valuable asset, Fluency in written and oral English. Other languages are considered as valuable assets, Is able and willing to integrated into an international environment, to travel internationally and to communicate with international peers and customers, Flexibility, reliability and readiness to work without direct supervision.
