ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Maritime System Engineer provides technical leadership and expertise in the areas of satellite maritime terminal systems and baseband systems development for Maritime and Energy customers as a member of a crossfunctional team. The engineers primary objective is to ensure such customers have the highest quality terminals and baseband systems available exceeding stringent SES system performance requirements. This role will define the SES Maritime Cruise customer experience journey. ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Maritime System Engineer provides technical leadership and expertise in the areas of satellite maritime terminal systems and baseband systems development for Maritime and Energy customers as a member of a crossfunctional team. The engineers primary objective is to ensure such customers have the highest quality terminals and baseband systems available exceeding stringent SES system performance requirements. This role will define the SES Maritime Cruise customer experience journey. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Perform system engineering design and analyses in support of the SES Maritime terminal and baseband systems development and implementation Develop and validate maritime terminal implementation, integration, and certification processes Provide technical leadership to subcontractors and vendors developing SES MEOGEO compatible maritime antennas, RF components, baseband, Monitoring Control, and network equipment Develop and support integration and testing methods and procedures for the Maritime Terminals at the component, subsystem, and system levels Provide system engineering leadership in the deployment of Maritime terminals and systems at Customer facilities located worldwide Support the Operations Team as an SME in resolving the most difficult customer troubleshooting efforts per internal escalation procedures from Level 3 to Level 4 Develop forwardlooking architectures and designs that support implementation of evolving SES products utilizing expertise with Intellian products. Perform endtoend test and validation of maritime systems to include Monitor Control, Out of Band functionality COMPETENCIES Demonstrated performance as a reliable team player SelfStarter with a high level of personal accountability High attention to the details Excellent written and oral communication skills QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Required Seniority will be based on experience 810 years of experience and a Bachelors degree, 68 years of experience and a Masters degree, or 46 years of experience and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, or related field a combination of experience and education will be considered Moderate experience developing andor maintaining Maritime SATCOM systems, terminals and satellitebased networking data systems O3b KaBand systems Experience in development and deployment of maritime SATCOM networks InDepth knowledge of Telecommunications Satellite Systems including VSAT systems Complete understanding of GEO, MEO, and LEO telecommunications satellite technologies and systems Experience with Azure 10 domestic and internal travel Preferred Proficience with Juniper or Cisco certifications and experience e.g. JNCIS JNCIP JNCIE CCNP CCIE Working knowledge of internetbased network connectivity principles and implementation Experience in development of monitoring and control systems using Kratos Compass or other Network Management Systems WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
