Senior Engineer, Spacecraft Platform Systems resident Ref SES0662 Region Europe Location France Toulouse Company SES Category Space Engineering Position Staff Published 20150904 Context SES Resident Field Offices procure reliable satellites that meet SES Customers needs and provide engineering support to satellite programmes from the contract signature up to the satellite launch activities. Meeting performance, quality as well as cost and schedule goals is key to maintain SES reputation for technical excellence and delivery. Considering the current and future programmes, SES seeks to reinforce its current teams. The mission will last 36 months. Responsibilities Provide day to day system engineering support to programme team Ensure contract requirements are flown down to subcontractors, subsystem and system requirements Support component design reviews, test activities, data reviews, anomaly investigations and resolutions Support system design reviews, test activities, data reviews, anomaly investigations and resolutions Provide summary of daily activities and technical status including recommended actions to functional manager Support the tracking, resolution and closure of unit and system level problem reports. Track system budgets Provide 247 on call support during single line flow. Experience Qualifications Engineering Degree with at least 7 years of experience in the satellite operations andor procurement field At least 7 years of professional experience in a satellite engineering assignment or equivalent Have a thorough understanding of all satellite manufacturing processes and procedures, spacecraft handling, integration and test, quality control and product assurance Have a thorough understanding of spacecraft test methods and flow Have working knowledge of spacecraft handling Ability to work on day to day issues with manufacturer and programme team Fluency in English any other language being an asset Good communication skills and teamspirit Travel as required.
