Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. We are looking for a highly skilled, dynamic and motivated professional to provide excellent management services to our running projects in Gilching Division. The Service Manager will report to the Division Head for his tasks and duties and will perform his duties partially from our customer site at GSOC, DLR and Telespazio Office in Gilching. To keep the projects running in an efficient and profitable manner, to increase customer and our staffs satisfaction, loyalty and retention and to meet their expectations. The earliest start date for this position will be 1st of August 2016 and the submission deadline for interested candidates is 15th of June 2016. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES Manage multiple projects and clients with competence Organise meetings and write minutes Maintain cooperative relations with the customer key persons Develop a personal network in the customer environment Improve customer experience, engage customers and facilitate organic growth through listening to the customers and analysing requirements Updatedevelopmaintain service procedures, policies and standards for the running and all upcoming projects Demonstrate leadership by motivating, recruiting, training, and developing the team members with the active support of the Team LeadersGroup Leader to ensure top quality service to the Customer Discern and respond to issues at sites that pose risk and escalating accordingly Check and approve data for contract invoicing and payroll timesheets, mission requests, overtime DevelopUpdate tools to improve monitoring, reporting, invoicing of contract data Create and implement manpower deployment plans for his team Participate in the writing of technical and management offers Keep ahead of industrys developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement Control resources and utilise assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets Adhere to and manage the approved budget Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities Support the other functions of the company as required QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in any stream Preferably, some experience in project management or in any other Leadership role Preferably, some experience in dealing with the customers or in Sales Preferably, experience in spacecraft operations Fluency with MS tools in particular with MS excel Be fluent in English and German, both in speaking and writing Willingness to travel ESSENTIAL SKILLS Ability to perform work without appreciable direction Ability to think strategically and to lead Ability to prepare for and brief executive management SelfMotivated selfstarter Problemsolving skills Demonstrated CanDo Attitude Ability to MultiTask Security Clearance upto level Security is required.
