Silk Prices in China (Quarterly Report)

Silk prices are in free fall in China, as a result of very poor sales on both export and domestic markets. Exports of silk apparel to the US market have dropped 20% in dollar terms, even plunging 36% on the Japanese market, as reflected by our data. Our quarterly report provides monthly average prices over the last three years for silk and cocoon on the domestic market, with in-depth analysis of latest and long-term trends. Export data are also now released for raw silk, silk yarns and silk apparel, including average export prices over the last 12 months. Most data are available for download.
