Silk Prices in China (Quarterly Report)

2018-10-11 21:22:02| EmergingTextiles.com

Silk prices have continued to decline after national holidays in China with the benchmark indicator even dropping below 400,000 yuan per metric ton. Although US tariffs imposed on Chinese silk products may further depress the market, the decline is mostly due to a rebound of the cocoon production in the last year. Our quarterly report provides monthly average prices over the last five years for silk and cocoon on the domestic market, with in-depth analysis of latest and long-term trends. EU's import data are also released for raw silk, including average import prices over the last 10 years. All data are available for download.
