For one of our main customers ESAESTEC, we are currently looking for a Simulation Software Engineer, who will give support within the Software System Division. The work of the division covers the areas of Electrical Ground Support Equipment EGSE, databases, simulation benches, including those used in software validation facilities and spacecraft AIT, ground data processing systems and ground facilities software in general. Tasks and Responsibilities In this position you will be assigned to support diverse Science Operation Missions for the Science and Robotic Exploration directorate DSRE Provide support for Science Operation Mission Planning Simulators for Mars Express and Venus Express projects Provide support to the development, configuration management and update of MAPSS Mission Planning Simulator tools. Experience and education A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent Extensive experience in software engineering, software development and configuration control methods, tools and standards e.g. ECSS Handson experience in programming languages C , Java optinal User interface development Qt or alternatively other graphical toolkits like MFC, GTK, SWTSwing Operating systems Windows and Linux. It is an advantage if the candidate has knowledge or some of the following Mac OSX , Unix systems 3D graphics OpenGL, OpenSceneGraph, Direct3D, Databases MySQL, Oracle, etc. Web development J2EE or .NET.
