Software Engineer for Ground Segment Systems MF Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. We are looking for a degree educated engineer with aerospace, informatics, mathematics or physics degree and with software development, maintenance and support experience for the development and maintenance of space related software ground systems RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES As a team member contributing to the development, maintenance and validation of of ground segment systems used in the space domain, also on infrastructure development. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE A university degree in aerospace, informatics, mathematics or physics Strong experience in software development and maintenance, ability to provide support to customers ESSENTIAL SKILLS C and Java programming languages Source Code Control System SVN or Git Development on Linux systems Basic Linux system administration, shell scripts, make, gcc, debugging Eclipse IDE, RCP Fluency in spoken and written English DESIRABLE SKILLS Software design using UML Eclipse RAP Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Gerrit ECSS standards for space software development XML French language skills would be an advantage You must be eligible to live and work in the EU,the acquisition of a security clearance is mandatory for this position.
