You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support, analysis, development and research activities to the Space Debris Office at the European Space Operations Centre, ESOC Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Provision of compliance verification analysis directly to mission customers You will be performing, in support of missions, runs with DRAMA, Scarab and Snapshot and document the results You will be providing custodian services for the Snapshot software You will be providing a methodology for the verification of protected zone clearance and onground casualty aspects for missions operating on HEOs and orbits around Lagrange Points You will be contributing to guidelines and handbooks on the matter of compliance assessment for HEOs and Lagrange Point orbits You will be defining the SOW and initiating the procurement of external analysis support contracts, validating and accepting the output, in assistance to the TO You will be establishing a space object environment index concept based on fast cloud propagation algorithms. Expand the approach for longer time spans and all LEO altitude bands You will be followingup and coordinating related Research Fellow and NPI activities in view of the offices approach for space object environment indexing You will be supporting OPSGR actions on space object environment indexing You will be doing the setup and making accessible the index concept You will be drafting and acting as bookkeeper of the two standard documents on compliance assessment Classification of geosynchronous objects and the annual ESA compliance report You will be contributing on space environment evolution studies involving DISCOS and other databases You will be contributing to the definition of the studies for GSTP and other ESA study programs in the area of space debris. In addition to being in involved in CDF sessions. You will be providing routine operation of ESAs conjunction event prediction system for internal and external customers in a 247 shift scheme up to 7 weeks per year Detailed analysis and consultancy in the case of a highrisk conjunction event in liaison with the Flight Control Teams, external customers and Flight Dynamics You will be contributing to the Maintenance of ESAs conjunction event prediction system and documentation You will be contributing to the ESAs reentry forecasting process Standby for project support in the areas of Cleanspace and SSA You will be supporting the interfacing with external entities, such as JSpOC for the analysis of conjunction events You will be promoting ESA achievements, recent research and work performed at the space debris office at international conferences once per year, and supporting related public relation or outreach activities You will be supporting the organisation of conferences and workshops, and running space debris office demonstration towards VIP tours in the space debris facility How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
