Position Reference 023 You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support to the SSA Programme Office at the European Space Operations Center. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Provide input to the procurement process of TV work and attend related meetings on request by the SST segment manager Contribute to the management of workplan and other SST industrial activities Assume delegated management responsibilities in the process Support the organisation, preparation, and closeout of reviews Identify, document and process software change requests SCRs related to delivered and existing software Support the installation, validation and management of SCRs Participate in the acceptance process, clearing final deliveries and installation of software in collaboration with ICT Interface with the SSA IT group where this intersects the deployment and operation of SSTrelated IT infrastructure and software and represent the SST segment in coordination meetings Provide support to the SST Segment Manager for the development and definition of plans Manage the administration of the SharePoint for SST and the SDE tools Support outreach activities in the SST area Support the technical management of activities listed in the workplan, as well as under different cofunding schemes Coordinate technical work with activities in other ESA units, in particular with the Space Debris Office Support the Core SST Software Activities Support the Architectural Activities and Analysis Software Development Support the Space Object Observation Activities and SST Expert Centres test deployment and operation. Support the Spacebased optical space surveillance developments Support the International Standards Development Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory A degree or equivalent in Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar applicable field. At least 3 years of experience in the relevant areas of flight dynamics, space debris analysis, observation techniques, and space systems engineering. Good knowledge of system operations automated and manual. In order to ensure a suitable supervision and involvement in ongoing and future test and validation activities and contracts, you shall have a very good knowledge of the ESAtailored ECSS methods for software development, testing and acceptance, as well as agile development. Demonstrated experience in the development and application of internationally recognised standards related to SST applications, especially in the application of CCSDS data formats. Demonstrated knowledge in algorithm and SW development, testing, validation, and operations. Demonstrated experience in working in, ideally in managing, geographically distributed multinational project teams.
