LSE Space GmbH is truly an international company with widespread expertise in large international projects often crossing multiple organizational, cultural, and technological barriers. LSE Space is looking for experienced Engineer mfd in order to fulfill the duty of Spacecraft Operations Engineer AEOLUS for our customer ESAESOC in DarmstadtGermany. For our activities at ESAESOC, we are currently seeking to employ highly motivated and enthusiastic Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support the Aeolus and Cryosat missions within the Earth Observation Missions family but with the possibility of supporting other missions within this family. Responsibilities and Duties The general activities of the SOE for AEOLUS are Maintenance and preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Support to the general routine activities of the mission Mission Planning, documentation maintenance, satellite and ground systems anomaly investigation. Acquisition and maintenance of general satellite knowledge and procedures, participating in the oncall engineer service rotation. General Flight Control Support Service Spacecraft Performance Analysis Qualifications University degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Experience in spacecraft operations Ability to work in an organized manner, with good reporting skills and reliable deadline meeting. Ability to work with other service providers in operations team player Ability to interact with other teams supporting the operations preparation e.g. Payload Data Ground Segment, Ground Data Systems Fluency in English, both spoken and written The following skills would be highly desirable Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with MOIS Location of work DarmstadtGermany.
