Spandex and PTMEG Prices in China (Monthly Report)

Spandex prices have continued falling in the past weeks in China, over a lack of demand from downward processors. PTMEG prices have stayed firm but MDI prices have suddenly plunged after previously rebounding. Spandex prices could now further drop until weakest units will be shut down. Our monthly report covers spandex and PTMEG prices on the domestic Chinese market, with gross margin trends at spandex plants on a weekly basis. Price offers of major spandex producers are also released. Daily data over the last 12 months and monthly average prices over 10 years are available for download.
