A vacancy for a System Engineer fm Navigation Galileo Service Analyses has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Munich Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join TSPED13 Future Navigation Systems Programmes. Airbus Defence Space is highly involved in system support activities for ESA, for the implementation, verification, and exploitation of the European satellite navigation system Galileo. In this project context, your main activities as System Engineer will be to Galileo Early Service exploitation Service verification, monitoring and feedback to system design Responsible for service performance tests, test definition and execution Support to system performance analysis and verification campaigns Satellite navigation data processing to derive service performance relevant parameters and drivers Routine monitoring thereof Receiver impact assessment on system performance Definition and implementation of software Trouble shooting and anomaly investigation, procedure definition for data evaluation Support to system evolution studies The position will be based in Munich, but will require travelling within Europe. The candidate should be willing to be colocated on ESTEC premises. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Degree in Natural Science, Mathematics or similar Practical experience in at least one of the following areas Satellite navigation systems application, design, error models, data processing Systems verification test definition, execution, reporting System design, engineering, budget justification and verification Satellite navigation data evaluation, process definition and implementation, statistics determination and report generation Satellite orbital mechanics, orbit propagation and determination Process design and implementation for routine monitoring of operational systems Error characterization and propagation, requirements engineering, change management, satellite navigation receiver operation Knowledge of LinuxUnix and Bernese GNSS Software Programming in Matlab, C, html, shell scripting or Perl, Fortran, web technologies Fluent negotiation level in English, advanced level in German Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
