RHEA is currently recruiting a System Operations Engineer to support the Copernicus S3 Ground Segment programme at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include System operations in a realtime operations environment Endtoend operations monitoring Operational interfaces within the ground segment, and to external partners, including maintenance of operational documentation JORP, OICDs, procedures etc. Communications systems operations Security operations Infrastructure operations and evolution Multimission operations, including mass storage and archiving System Evolutions Manual and Automated system and satellite operations including planning and scheduling. Responsible for the definition andor maintenance of the routine operations procedures pertaining to system operations and the interfaces of the key systems within the ground segment. Will provide support to the operations preparation for recurrent S3 satellites into the existing systems Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline At least 5 years experience of System Operations in a realtime LEO spacecraft operations environment At least 5 years work experience defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground segment systems At least 3 years work experience defining, integration, acceptance testing and operation of mission data systems At least 3 years experience in the definition and maintenance of operational interfaces At least 3 years work experience in project and technical management or coordination. The following skills would be highly desirable Earth Observation ground segments Experience of communications systems operations Experience of operations security Experience of coordination of systems development and upgrades within a 247 operations environment Windows Linux operating systems.
