Mission As a member of RSO RealTime Services and System Operations Division, the Key Person shall provide support to the development and operation of the MSG Ground Segment and the EPS Overall Ground System OGS, as well as their evolution. Main duties will include the support to System operations in a realtime operations environment Endtoend operations monitoring Communications systems operations Infrastructure operations and evolution including control centre definition and redesign upgrades, and system operations configuration management Business Continuity maintenance of the Operations Evacuation Control Room evolution of BackUp Operations Sites... Multimission operations, including Storage Network Infrastructure SNI GENERIC EVENT MONITORING SYSTEM SYSTEM MONITORING AND REPORTING TOOL System Evolutions for existing and new programmes Manual and Automated system and satellite operations including planning and scheduling. Profile In addition to having a university degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline, the Key Person shall have the following mandatory attributes at least five years experience of system operations in a realtime spacecraft operations environment at least three years work experience in the operation of spacecraft control systems at least five years work experience of control room architectures and ergonomics at least three years work experience of communications systems operations at least three years work experience defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground segment systems. Experience of the following would be a distinct advantage extensive experience at least three years in the definition, development, integration and acceptance testing of mission data systems experience in business continuity techniques and associated system operations extensive experience at least three years in the operations preparation and routine operations of Geostationary GEO and Low Earth Orbit LEO satellite systems experience of using configuration management systems such as CVS familiarity with ECSS and CCSDS standards related to spacetoground interfaces and applicable to Satellite Monitoring Control Systems Packet Telemetry and Telecommand standards, PUS Packet Utilisation Standard, etc. Windows Linux operating systems leading a small team of engineers.
