Europes Meteorological Satellite Organisation EUMETSAT is a large international, multicultural establishment responsible for monitoring the weather and climate from space 24 hours a day, 365 days a week. This is a challenging and rewarding role offering the successful candidate the chance to gain experience with very large and complex systems hosting modern technology. The Polar System Second Generation EPSSG system includes 3 pairs of MetopSG satellites, the key candidate shall be responsible for all activities related to the integration, verification and validation for this system. Directly managing a small team of 34 engineers, the successful candidate shall also provide support to larger team of approximately 30. The successful candidate will require a university degree, or equivalent, in Science or Engineering along with skillsexperience in each of the following areas Proven experience in the verification and validation of large complex systems Proven experience of engineering and development activities in space or ground segment areas for an Earth Observation satellitebased system Proven ability to analyse complex projects, set up and manage teams accordingly, and juggle with multiple constraints Excellent oral and written communication skills.
