As the Communication Services Team Leader, you will support the planning, development, deployment and operations of the network infrastructure, services and solutions responding to current and future needs. Duties Lead a team of communications systems engineers, including setting objectives, managing performance, keeping key skills up to date, planning the activities and reporting to management Contribute to defining and maintaining the roadmap for the consolidated EUMETSAT communication network infrastructure, securing operational continuity while planning the required evolutions Design, implement and deliver scalable network solutions with the associated infrastructure, fulfilling the availability, resilience and security requirements of the current operational systems Translate specific business needs of internal customers into network requirements, in the context of the development of new ground segments for future satellite systems Coordinate the maintenance of EUMETSAT communication network systems and services, including 2nd3rd level investigations and problem resolution Manage service contracts and interact with suppliers of network products and services. What we offer Generous salary, of up to Euro 7,500 month NET after income tax based on skills and experience Flexible working time including additional flexileave Excellent medical coverage for employee and family Attractive pension 30 days of annual leave 14.5 days public holidays Training and development support Relocation allowance and support if applicable Skills and Experience Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate an engineering team, with focus on performance and skills management Proven experience of communication network engineering in a highavailability, 247 operational environment Experience in designing, developing and deploying network solutions and services according to recognised standards Indepth knowledge of Cisco technology, services and solutions Experience establishing servicelevel agreements SLAs with internal customers, monitoring performance and ensuring service implementation and delivery Experience in managing industrial support contracts Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into customer terminology Effective teamworking skills with a strong customer focus and experience working in a service driven environment is required. Qualifications A university degree in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. telecommunications, network systems, etc. or equivalent.
