ACS is looking for a Technology Development Engineer. ACS has almost 40 years experience in delivering solutions for Earth Observation satellites Ground Segments. Based in Rome, Italy and in Darmstadt, Germany, we delivered systems currently in operation in 20 countries worldwide and have a long record of successful projects carried out for ESA, EUMETSAT, EMSA and many other Space Agencies and Research Centres. ACS offers pleasant, international working environment at customer site very competitive salary attractive benefit package tailored on specific exigencies training and personal growth within ACS group Tasks supporting the identification of the technology requirements for future Earth observations missions providing support to technology developments for future Earth Observation missions that are conducted in the technology coordination section supporting missions under preparation through, e.g. participation to reviews, assessment of industrial results, evaluation of proposals in reply to calls maintaining and improving the Earth Observation technology database supporting the EO technology observatory function supporting the interaction with ESAs member states on EO future technologies e.g. through dedicated information days Mandatory requirements university degree master in Engineering or physics with relevant background and experience in space projects and associated technology developments several years of experience in the development of advanced technologies preferably for space applications knowledge of observation techniques and technology elements optical and microwave used in Earth Observation missions background in satellite system and subsystem technologies simulation development skills proficient in the English language Spoken and Written EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass format
