Test Team Lead Space projects Category Information Technology City Leatherhead, Surrey, United Kingdom Position ID J11140293 Permanent Full Time Posting Date 11 November 2014 Posting Expiry Date 26 December 2014 Position Description The GSF project requires an experienced test manager to oversee and manage a small team of testers for the Galileo GSF Elements. Previous space experience is not essential. The role will suit a person who also has experience of the testing lifecycle and associated processes, and should be able to contribute to the testing activities. The Galileo Security Facility GSF is a new facility being developed during the FOC1 phase of the Galileo Programme providing management of the Public Regulated Services PRS to Member States and a Galileowide security event monitoring capability. The GSF is intended to provide an interface between EU member states and the Galileo core system for the management of the Galileo PRS service and Galileo Security Monitoring. This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in the development of Galileo, Europes satellite navigation system. Candidates should be capable of quickly picking up new concepts as the system is large and complicated, working to high standards of quality, and to agreed timescales either independently or as part of a team. Essential Skills Experience of managing a test team, Planning, organisation, metrication and reporting skills, Experience of the testing lifecycle, Prior use of an observation reporting tool, e.g. Mantis, Good verbal and written skills, Ability to communicate at all levels Desirable Skills ISEBISTQB Qualified HP Quality centre DOORs Good working knowledge of Linux and SQL. Experience of 3tier webbased development architectures, Java, Oracle. Quick learner, ability to learn complex system and a range of testing tools.
