Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a Test and Validation Software Engineer to join our premises in Darmstadt to support the European Space Operations Center ESOC for the setup and management of the test environment for ground data systems infrastructure applications. Please submit applications by EMAIL to Mr. Jose Maria Torres Torres, Software Chief Engineer to. j.torresvitrocisetbelgium.com cc. jobsvitrocisetbelgium.com TASKS Support to the definition and management of platform baselines Technical interaction with IT service providers Management of computer resources required by the build and test environments e.g. provision of virtual machines according to a specified platform baseline Setup and provision of the build and runtime environment Setup and provision of the test environment Definition of scripts automating the continuous integration activities Management of reference configurations and associated tools Support to continuous integration activities build, installation, deployment, configuration control of the ground data systems infrastructure applications Management of the space systems simulators belonging to the test environment e.g. GSTVi, mission specific simulators Setup and execution of endtoend test campaigns involving multiple ground segment subsystems Troubleshooting of problems identified in the course of the continuous integration activities Attendance of technical and coordination meetings at ESOC. Document any identified software problem. PROFILE Academic Requirements University degree in Computer Science, engineering, physics or similar discipline. Specific Requirements Familiarity with MICONIS and SIMULUS Control Centre Ground Data Systems and related test environment. Familiarity with the programmingscripting languages relevant to the group of ground data system applications and test environment. Familiarity with continuous integration activities and tooling Fluency in English is mandatory as this is the working language at ESAESOC. The post holder must be able to work effectively in this language.
