Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a Test and Validation Software Engineer to join our premises in Darmstadt to support the European Space Operations Center ESOC for the validation and configuration management of applications in the mission control domain. Please submit applications by EMAIL to Mr. Jose Maria Torres Torres, Software Chief Engineer to. j.torresvitrocisetbelgium.com cc. jobsvitrocisetbelgium.com TASKS Definition of test environment and test data Manual execution of an agreed subset of regression testing Definition and execution of automated regression testing Definition and execution of validation test cases for a given release Generation of test reports using the relevant support tools Verification of proper implementation of software changes fixes and upgrades Troubleshooting of problems identified in the course of the validation activities Support to the infrastructure and customer mission teams to troubleshoot problems Support to the Technical Officer for the preparation of the Software Review Board meetings Attendance of technical and coordination meetings at ESOC. Document any identified software problem. PROFILE Academic Requirements University degree in Computer Science, engineering, physics or similar discipline. Specific Requirements Familiarity with at least one of the next groups of ground data system applications and related test environment Mission control infrastructure MICONYS core applications SCOS2000EUD4S2K, FARC, NIS Mission operations automation MATIS, SMF, S2KSMF, NISSMF, FARCSMF Simulators infrastructure SIMULUS SIMSATEUD4SIMSAT, UMF, REFA, GROUND, GENERIC MODELS, EMULATOR Data Storage, Dissemination and Analysis Services DABYS, DARC, EDDS, ARES Familiarity with the programmingscripting languages relevant to the group of ground data system applications and test environment. Fluency in English is mandatory as this is the working language at ESAESOC. The post holder must be able to work effectively in this language.
