We are currently looking for a Thermal Design and Analysis Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Thermal Design and Analysis Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities While previous CFD analysis for FLPP CUST was focused on the A5ME US tank configuration, the current activity of FLPP3 Cryotank Demonstrator with a Common Bulkhead CRONUS requires a reorientation in order to gain improved understanding of the propellant behaviour in the A6 US tank configuration. It will include analysis for extended understanding of fluidstructure interaction and freesurface dynamics in cryogenic upper stage tanks in order to map the propellant distribution under the different mission phases. The end date is matched to the CRONUS fullscale demonstrator SRR. In particular, the following steps are foreseen Selection of software codes for modelling of the momentum and heat transfer at the interface between tank wall and fluid. Establishment of representative geometry and boundary conditions for analysis implementation in consultation with the customer. Evaluation of measures to counteract unwanted fluid redistribution and heat transfer in the analyzed tank geometry. Particular attention to be given to fluid orientation and condition at critical phases for stage ignition. Recommendations on further steps to refine and extend analysis.
