U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

US apparel imports have risen at a higher pace in May due to a rebound of Chinese shipments in volume terms, for the second consecutive month. Imports from other origins have been robust over the first five months of the year, as reflected by our new series of tables offering a comprehensive view of shipments per origin. Our monthly review covers US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the 2000-2019 period including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Vietnam and Rest of World (RoW). Import data are available per origin in the year-to-date, in volume, value, and unit value terms.
