Windows Users Support IT Administrator mf The Challenge We are looking for a Windows Users Support ITAdministrator, who will give 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support to approx.250 Windows users, mainly to administrative department, public outreach and some technical personnel. Service activities will include following tasks Deployment, Testing, Operations Maintenance and User Support Support to Windows 7 and 8 Install and reinstall Windows computers based on a standard image Maintain release new version of the standard image including all the ESO specific software Carefully backup and reintegrate user data in the case of reinstallations Reconfigure email clients, VPN clients, profile, printers Install and manage the licenses of optional software mainly of Adobe and Matlab Hardware ranging from Dell desktops and laptops from 2008 to recent HP desktops and laptops Preanalyze defective hardware and manage repairs through an external service provider Operate the backup system for windows machines Use ticket system, Room booking System, asset management systems and documentation systems provided by ESO OnCall duty during any time outside the normal support hours Update and create Technical Documentation This is a fulltime position, located at ESO headquarters in Garching near Munich, Germany, with a planned starting date 1st of July 2015. Your Qualifications Applicants shall have a university degree in System integration, software engineering or equal qualification and at least 2 years of experience in similar field.
