Export prices have not changed however in dollar terms, following a new depreciation of the local currency. Polyester fiber and yarn prices have stayed everywhere stable whereas the viscose market was similarly stable in China and India. Viscose prices have sharply rebounded in the past seven days in Pakistan, over a fall of the national currency resulting in higher import prices in rupee terms. In China by contrast, VSF prices have stayed stable once again, having been kept unchanged for a larger number of weeks. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan are also available.
