China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

The cotton yarn market is relatively weak in China where prices have however not really dropped in the past seven days. Imports continue threatening the domestic production, due to the stability of cotton prices at a higher level than elsewhere. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.

Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices have further risen in the last week on the international market, mostly due to surging demand from Pakistan where domestic prices have eventually declined as a result of a rebound of cotton imports. The jump of polyester prices in China may also have supported demand for cotton in the past weeks. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.

Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Polyester chain prices have stabilized in the past week, with the PTA rally eventually ending and polyester fiber prices showing no sign yet they could surge to even higher levels. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
