2018-09-12 19:22:10| EmergingTextiles.com

Margins have similarly resisted in India and Pakistan, as a clear sign that demand has remained strong whatever the jump of ram material costs in the polyester textile industry. Our monthly report compares polyester staple fiber and polyester spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, in both local currency terms and US$ terms. Gross margins of spinners are also calculated on a monthly basis. Historical data back to 2007 are available for download.

Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

2018-09-12 19:22:10| EmergingTextiles.com

Polyester intermediate prices have stopped rising in the Far East, over a weaker seasonal demand than expected. The recent surge of prices has resulted in lower sales than usual in this part of the year. Prices could now stabilize or fall to lower levels, depending on the ability of spinners and weavers to pass their higher costs on to their customers. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
