Facebook develops Instagram companion app Threads - report

(Telecompaper) Facebook is developing a new messaging app called Threads that is meant to promote constant, intimate sharing between users and their closest friends, The Verge reports. Called Threads, the app is designed as a companion to Instagram and invites users to automatically share their location, speed and battery life with friends, along with more typical text, photo and video messages using Instagram. The app, which is designed for sharing with the "close friends" list on Instagram, is now being tested internally at Facebook.

Polyester intermediate prices have not significantly fallen in the last days, as demand may now rebound in line with seasonal trends favoring September and October. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.

US Apparel Imports in 2nd Quarter 2019: Origins (Statistical Report)

US apparel imports have continued rising in the second quarter of 2019, as retailers and brands have not reduced their sourcing from China, whatever the threat of additional tariffs. Unit values of Chinese products have dropped, whereas prices were significantly climbing from most other origins. Our quarterly report details shipments to the U.S. market per origin, with volume and value changes, market shares, and unit value variations in the last five years. Quarterly data covering the 2014-19 period are available for download.
