(Telecompaper) Tele2 reported first-quarter sales up 6 percent to SEK 6.512 billion, led by 10 percent growth in mobile service revenue. Revenue was also helped by currency effects and rose just 2 percent excluding forex. EBITDA increased 5 percent (or 2 percent excl forex) to SEK 1.428 billion, while net profit fell 12 percent to SEK 517 million. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has signalled it will block the alliance due to concerns that it will give the two airlines more than 80 per cent of the direct capacity between Sydney and Shanghai.
