Apple unveils new iPad Air tablet, iPad mini

(Telecompaper) At the company's annual unveiling event, Apple introduced its newest iPad tablet, the iPad Air, that is 20 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than the previous iPad and weighs just one pound. Apple has also announced iPad mini with Retina display. The new iPads feature the Apple-designed A7 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture, M7 motion coprocessor for faster graphics rendering, built-in Wi-Fi, expanded LTE connectivity and the newly-designed iOS 7. The new iPad mini with Retina display comes equipped with a 7.9-inch Multi-Touch display with 326 pixels per inch and full HD 1080p video. Both iPads feature two antennas to support Multiple-In-Multiple-Out (MIMO) technology, the new FaceTime HD camera and an iSight camera with 5-megapixel sensor and advanced optics. iPad Air with Wi-Fi models will be available in silver or space gray starting 1 November, for USD 499 for the 16GB model, USD 599 for the 32GB model, USD 699 for the 64GB model and USD 799 for the 128GB model. iPad Air with Wi-Fi + Cellular will be available 1 November for USD 629 for the 16GB model, USD 729 for the 32GB model, USD 829 for the 64GB model and USD 929 for the 128GB model. iPad mini with Retina display will be available later in November in silver or space gray. iPad mini with Retina display Wi-Fi models will be available for USD 399 for the 16GB model, USD 499 for the 32GB model, USD 599 for the 64GB model and USD 699 for the 128GB model. iPad mini with Retina display Wi-Fi + Cellular models will be available for USD 529 for the 16GB model, USD 629 for the 32GB model, USD 729 for the 64GB model and USD 829 for the 128GB model.
