You will contribute to the ongoing deployment phase of EGNOS V3, the European satellite based augmentation system for GPS and Galileo supporting the team in Ottobrunn in the area of o performance analysis of the designed algorithms and o the resulting signal in space performance and o functionality in contribution to the consolidation of the system level design You will join the Airbus Navigation Department. With more than 60 engineers and almost 20 years of experience it is one of the leading expert groups in Europe for the development and implementation of the European satellite navigation systems EGNOS and Galileo. In your daily activities you can expect Support the detailed Algorithm Definition of the Prediction Chain Functionalities Support the prototyping of Prediction Chain algorithms Testing and validation of developed software modules Support troubleshooting and determination analysis of anomalies Support enhancement of system performance analysis tools and Software Presentation of results in front of the customer and conferences. What are we looking for? You are Educated to a masters degree in an Engineering discipline such as Navigation, Telecommunication, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Geodesy, Geoinformatics, or equivalent You have good mathematical skills and physical understanding and ability to analyse complex algorithms You are able to work autonomously and shall be teamminded You have gained Experience in standard engineering software development languages like Matlab and CC The following skills would be of advantage to quickly enter into the position and to successfully conduct the required work You have theoretical and practical knowledge of satellite based navigation systems like EGNOS, Galileo, GPS You understand GNSS satellite data processing in ground segments incl. navigation message generation and dissemination flow You have knowledge of algorithms and strategies of preprocessing of GNSS satellite data for real time applications You also have knowledge of algorithms of generation network time scales of GNSS systems You have shown experience in real time software development Please apply for this vacancy at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
